About us:

Hon. Mr. Shashikant Patil (Bachhav), formed Secondary School named ‘MADHYAMIK VIDYALAYA’ in 2000 at Jakhane.  In 2005, this school was having classes from 5^th to 10^th standard.

After completion of SSC, boys students were sent up for further education in nearby towns or hostels or at near relatives.  But again girls, after completion of SSC, were kept home instead of sending out of village for further education.  Because of uncertainty of social security, parents were feeling unsecured for sending their girl students out of village.  So, Parents were preparing for wedding their girl students.  This was the main reason for getting married in early age.  This was injustice for girl students.

Keeping in view of gender equality and natural justice to all for education,  Mr. Shashikant Patil formed JUNIOR COLLEGE OF ARTS at Jakhane in 2008.  So, middleclass students could avail further education up to 12^th/ HSC.  Mainly, girls of Jakhane, Behed, Aarave, Shewade and Divi are now enjoying this facility.  Thus Mr. Shashikant Patil brought the common people of Jakhane, Behed, Aarave, Shewade & Divi, in the main streamline of education at JAKHANE.
